Well first off i just bought my car on Saturday. I just learned to drive a stick, so this is my second day driving a manual, so anyway i have an 89 Turbo 2. I was coming home from seeing a movie and a Mr2 Spider pulls up next to me while i am at a light. There is a car infront of me and a van infront of him, light turnes green, I start slowly, not really wanting to race or mess around yet since i cant really drive very well yet. So the car infront of me gets ahead of the van, and moves over, so i accelerate and the Mr2 switches lanes and then blows past me. I dont think much of it so i let him go by. The next line and there are again a car infront of both of us, again my car infront goes faster so i start press the gas, of cource the Mr2 follows and switches to my lane, he follows me around the car and i stomp on the gas. The Mr2 stayed with me until i hit third after i got done with third he was about 4 car lengths back. Well we hit another light this time only one car there so i switch to the open lane. Now i know he will be ready for a race, i get a little nervous. I wait for the light, i am getting ready to go and i stoll the car ( go figure), first time, and so i yell $%&$. I start the car, now pissed off at myself, i rev it up to about 3,500 and drop the clutch, i peal out of the intersection, with the Mr2 on my ***. He quicly changes lanes thinking he has me, he gets up to about my door and stopps pulling, I get into tird an i know he is gone, buy the time i hit 120 he was about 4-5 car lengths in my rear mirror. So yea he shortly pulls off the road amd i go on home. It was a little sloppy, and i am definitly a noob, but not too bad for my first kill in my new car.

My car only has an intake, and a ACT clutch.

Plus - the Mr2 had his girlfriend in the car.

And don't worry about the learning to drive stick. It will become much more natural. I like it more than automatic.

yea, stick is much better in my opinion... its more fun, your more involved with what the car's doing, you dont have a drunken monkey trying to shift for you, and if your brakes fail theres always engine braking (which ive needed to do before, tho not with my 7)

yeah after a month or so you get to the poitn where you dont think about it when your doing it, you get used to the sound of your engine and the feel and know where to shift.

haha and remeber, when racing just listen for the little buzzer, then shift haha

EXACTLY! Becomes second nature. Like putting pants on, brushing your teeth, or jerking off.
