Talking

I really do not race much since I know what our favourite car is capable. I do not like to race in traffic either and do not like to take risks. I've raced a newer Corvette, a friends S2000 who could not conceive my car was faster, a Porsche boxster who would not let me pass him on a 2-lane road, an older 911, a 928, a Firebird...

But this guy in one of the last Camaro Z28's w the bulbous hood full of scoops 1st passes me, then slows down, stays behind me, passes me & cuts me off while I'm cruising comfortably around 85mph on the right lane. He kept this up for a while and when I saw he would not let up, I waited until he got side by side to pass me and downshifted to 4th gear leaving him in my dust.

I coasted to my normal 80-85mph when he comes back again for more. I let him stay side by side for a while watching him get mad and curse at me, maybe he was not ready before. This time I motioned him to race and he took the bait hook, line & sinker. Again I downshifted to 4th as soon as I heard his V8 growl. I did not let the accelerator down until I was in 5th gear around 150mph and he was just a speck in my mirror. Serves him right. Maybe he thought I was driving a Miata, it would not be the 1st time...it rally irks me!

Guys: Your life and your 7's are important, do not take undue risks. Have you ever been speeding on the left lane when MrRetard decides to get in your lane to pass? Have you ever encountered a semi head on because you wanted to pass Mr55mph on an uphill? Have you ever had your blood turn ice cold after a crazy stunt? I answer YES to ALL & MORE. I have been crazy in my days but you learn with experience.

In LA street racing wouldnt be so popular but there is only 2 1/4 and 2 road courses. They are rarely open, and when they are it is crowded with lames!!! On LA freeways idiots driving everything you could think of try to race anytime I downshift to pass, but that hasnt happend in a while since gas is still 2.09 adverage. That should change once we come up with a company to sell Iraqi oil
