Fd Vs. 2003 Wrx
I had a chance to play with a mod'd 2003 WRX Saturday night. His mods included 3" turbo back exhaust, no cat, boost controller, fuel pump and intake. He was also running 14psi. We made 2 runs from a dead stop.
First run we both bogged the launch. I took off at 3k RPM and by 100mph had him by 5-6 cars. He said he had a bad launch and wanted to go again.
Second run, he had an awesome launch. I launched at 4k but had no chance. He was out ahead a few cars, but by 100mph I had 2-3 cars on him. Unfortunately, I smoked my clutch and it basically just slipped all the way through 2nd gear.
OneBadRX7 (forum member) was riding as my passenger and can vouch for the story. I was running 12psi.
I have the M2 Heavy duty clutch, but I'm guessing it's starting to die. I didn't have any wheep hop this time however.
Finally get one problem fixed and another one starts..

nice kill, too bad bout the clutch. Those wrx's can be bad ***, around my house there are about 3 highly modded(rich parents who just buy their kids wrx's and give them money to hook it up) anywayz i cant touch them from the line but i catch them on the top end, but then they spray their nowwwwzz and its over. So whenever an rx7 out runs a wrx, it brings me some joy.
