mustangs = drag cars

supra = grand touring

a guy ran a 9.14 with ~800rwhp in a full interior/engine components supra on moderate boost with drag radials....i think it was a daily drivin car, the car still has all the carpets, the radio, the a/c, etc...runs almost a 9 flat...that was at 28psi with no nitrous...
the the FD put the power down with proper suspention work?

PS:

whats the mialage on the 03 cobra? [/quote]

Why do you ask what every car's gas mileage is?

ill tell you what it is. Bad.

FD's were not made for drag racing in mind. With the proper suspension setup however, the FD can make a good drag car. People can run 11's with 330 RWHP, where most supras have alot higher power levels to achieve the same times. Alot has to do with weight.

Supra's are hard car's to drive to their maximum potential. While you can hit 12's with 400 hp most people have a hard time breaking into the 12's untilt hey hit 500hp. or maybe it's out of the 12's, beats me something liek that.

good run, and i hope u get a chance to get a good clean run against one soon
its not 390 rwhp...that is fly wheel hp rated from the factory..but they are stuill extremely fast for a rustang

Heh...yeah you gotta watch the '03 and '04 Cobras. My neighbor has an '04. The ONLY changes he made are the supercharger pulley, Predator chip, and an x-pipe (I think that might be a total of $1000 in parts) and he's putting down 457 rwhp and 472 lb-ft torque. Yes, that is at the wheels. I'm not going anywhere near him with my RX-8.

True, they are rated for 390 flywheel horsepower, but a good friend of mine dyno'ed 383 to the wheels bone stock. They are pretty underrated, and certainly pretty fast even stock.
