bah, i'd rather just turbo a KA

cmon now, if the ka was that nice, why wouldnt everybody use it?
Because it's not JSpec.

People think that because it's JSpec it's better.

With the amount of money it costs to do the SR20 swap, you could have a very, very nice turbo KA.

Hay 702 thaks for the invite. I haven't been down to Vegas for a while. Don't think I'll drive next time I come down takes to long and I need to do plenty of maint on my subie i've been treating it like a red headed step child. I do plan on taking the 7 to vegas when its done. but it has a ways to go and many thousands of dollars till its done. I'll let you know when I plan on going down, might be soon I need to get away for a long weekend. I'd like to check out your car and the races. get back on this.

I can think of better motors...3SGTE...4G63...
Ummmmm... I'd hate to break it to you, but the 4G63 is a piece of ****. The SR20 is a VERY strong motor, and has a huge horsepower to reliability potential.

I honestly don't know too much about the MR2 motor, but I know for a fact that the SR20 is better built than the 4G63.

The 12a could not make 350-400HP and have the torque to back it up.

I'm not trying to start a war here, people.

My opinion is that the SR20 is over-hyped and over-played. The swap has become monotonous...everyone's doing it.

youd be surprised what the lil 12A could do...i wasnt trying to start anything either, was just trying to see things from your point of view, sorta.

its true about the SR swaps, everyone and their mother is doing them.

the newest swap ive seen is the FC20(s2000 i think), in an AE86...its pretty sweet.

Nice race... Good job indeed!

Oh an whoever said that SR20's are over rated, should do some more research.

Probably the nicest 4-cylinder motor on the market.
Agreed, SR20's are like my favorite motor, well of course right under rotaries.

They may be over played and over hyped... But don't short change them. Those motors can be monsters and still last a long time. Not trying to sound upset or anything. Just trying to give a motor the credit it deserves.

Thumbs down

He bought the car with an SR20 in it for about $4500, so I don't know, but to me that is VERY cheap. The only car I am worried about this little s### crx that he has that runs 12's ALL MOTOR!
