Question: An exhaust is supposed to give a Civic 50 more HP? Someone else smell bullshit? *sniff sniff*

$10 says this "Exhaust" is just an Autozone muffler.

Seriously, whats with all these honda kids thinking that swapping out their muffler is modding the exhaust, and then claiming more HP than a header-back exhaust system would give them?

Hell, with my headerback I would have been very pleasantly surprised to see 15 horses out of it.

I view exhaust as a flow/looks/sound thing. Almost like a reverse intake. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Now if "exhaust" meant a turbo manifold (with turbo), sure, 50 seems reasonable. But from what I can tell, Civic boy is just another ricer.

Im sorry you have no real competition.

I'd hate to break it to you... But generally anyone who knows enough about Hondas to do an LS-VTEC swap into a hatch usually isn't ricer enough to just swap out the muffler. People who do semi-complicated swaps like that don't skimp on one of the easiest ways to make a few extra horses.

There's a guy down by where I used to live that has an Integra (Japanese) K20 type-R motor in a gutted CRX. Puts down high 11's/low 12's with intake, exhaust, and drag slicks... There are many other all motor Hondas down south that run faster than 13 seconds no nitrous.

With only a RB Header, Borla Cat-Back exhaust system, and a custom intake setup, I was able to run 15.4 @ 93 mph. Not bad, but with the things I got over the winter(MR Short Throw shifter, Pineapple Racing sleeves, and an APex'I S-AFC) I am hoping to get into the 14's.
