Cool

I'll start with the EVO IV.

I was cruising home after hanging out with friends when a white EVO IV started tailgating me so close I could read the aa-cup bra size on his girly's trainer. Since we were on a three lane (each way) road with very little traffic I made a quick lane change so he could go around me but to my amazement this jack-monkey made the same change and kept tailing me. Since we were in a known speedtrap area I slowed down from 60kph to 40kph hoping this moron would drive around me. Nope! That didn't happen so I slowed down to 30kph. Hell, scooters and grandamama's were passing us with ease now. It was obvious he wanted to beat up on a Honda so I prepared to play. It was his lucky day because we got caught at a light with nobody near us. Mr. Braveheart pulled into the far right lane and gave me a rev. I gave him a nod and waited for the light to change. When the light changed we both eased out up to about 20kph. As soon as he punched I matched the effort with a LOT of wheel spin. My lil' hamster on crack hit the 8400rpm with ease and once I caught traction after shifting to second gear that poor lil' EVO owner was probably wishing he would have stayed at home. This little escapade was over before I hit the top of third gear. I came out of the throttle a bit so he could catch up and then punched it again after he nosed me just to rub it in his face. His girl was laughing at him at the next light :yum:

A couple weeks later I ran into the American owned Spirit R. It was 4:00am and I just wanted to get past the Taxi army so I could go home a catch a couple hours of shut eye before going to work. After making my way past way too many drunken taxi drivers I came across the Spirit R. All I wanted to do was go around him and get home. Yes, I was speeding but I wasn't trying to race him. As soon I got close to his bumper he slammed the hammer home and cut me off. I wanted to know how many screws where missing from this frankensteins BHU(brain housing unit) so I dropped the hammer and caught him with ease. Too bad we caught by one of the notorious Okinawa quick change traffic lights. It took a lot of brake modulation to make this stop with running this series of lights but I pulled it off. (hint to myself: Install your damn brake kit fool!!) We caught a series of lights that act almost light a christmas tree. The 4th lights turns green first and then works it's way down to you. Since I was running on normal street tires I knew the Spirit R was going to get the launch. I didn't even bother to rev past 3k rpm because all I do is spin when I launch with the Yokohama DNA's that I use for street duty. Well crackboy jumps the light and gets a solid two cars lengths on me. No biggie! Launch at 3k, bog, spin tires, grab traction, shift at 8400rpm = 1 1/2 car lengths recovered. A shift into third gear equated to my ripping past him like he was in neutral. I went ahead and ran it out to 4th gear since he pissed me off so I had him by atleast 3 cars lengths with ease. At the next light a car filled with drunken Marines pulled up behind us roaring with laugther . My brakes smelled like *** so I pulled into a convenience store to give them a quick check. Those suckers were glowing pink since I made two really hard stops from *20+kph. I'm a lazy ****! I'll install that brake kit one of these days. Anyway, the Spirit R owner pulled in behind me for a chat while my brakes cooled down. He was cocky as hell but still kinda cool. I laughed when he said his car was stock. I replied with: "My engine internals are bone stock! 10.6:1 compression with .75bar of boost." He came back with: "My car is stock"! I pointed to his car and said, "$40k" and then pointed to my beater and said, "less than $8k "! He told me I should get rid of my slow Honda and get a real car with RWD and factory boost. I could only reply with... why do that when I am already beating RWD cars with a low boost setup? I sat there for an hour listening to him talk about GTR's being heavy and slow, there are no 1000hp cars in Okinawa (I guess I live on a different Okinawa) and his BS'ing about his proposed business where he's going to do V-8 Z swaps. Why put a heavy as Chevy in a 240/260/280Z when you can find SR20DET's, RB25DET's, VG30DETT's and everything else with ease. Napa and Pep boys are also 7000miles away if you need parts. Sorry, I'm getting off the topic. Hopefully I will get my 720cc injectors soon, install the T300S and turn up the boost to 1.2bar so I'll have half a chance after Van installs his new motor

Spirit R guy has a nice car, no doubt, but he thinks it's way more than what it is. It's stock, at least it was the last time I saw it. That idiot is still talking about doing those V8 in an old Z car conversions? What a choad. He was talking my ear off about that back in 2001. Two problems - 1) as you mentioned, where are you going to find the V8 and their parts in Japan? and 2)Where are you going to find acceptable old school Z's in Okinawa. Not many of those left in decent shape and the ones that are, are staying that way without a V8 in them. He'll never do it. All talk. Everytime I get stuck around that dude (thanks to Justin everytime  ) he just talks and talks as I'm looking at my watch every 15 seconds and trying to kill the conversation so I can walk away. I try to be polite and it just doesn't work. He's not evil or mean or anything like that. He's just a drag to be near. He's like a used car salesman without the charisma and charm. :smirk:

He is going to import complete swaps! Getting the swaps is no problem but getting replacement after market parts will be! I will take a 400hp SR20DET or Rotor motor over a V-8 Heavy *** V8 anyday. The weight offset is just too ugly and 2V pushrod heads belong in land yachts like my old '54 Ford Truck with Aussie headed 351C. Anyway.... I'm gonna buy me a beater K-car for cruising and work because I am getting tired to being the TARGET!
