Like I said i don't know if this is very impressive, but I own an RX-8 and i killed a modded up Eclipse GS-T. It had a turbo exhaust, CAI and some other turbo goodies. anyway the story is... someone on my class found out i had an RX-8 and he's been beggin to race me. So finally i see ihm on the freeway and he sees me in his rear view. I catch up to him at about 85mph and he already knows what's gonna happen. I shift down to fourth and so does he but by the time he shift im gone. I kept goin until 133 then i slowed down. I thought he didn't even bother tryin to race but when we got to the gas station he was so suprised by how quick my car was. Just wanted to share. It was my first kill/ race and i wanted to know if it was worht mentioning.

Nice Kill. I always get nervous when I see a GS-T making a move to race me. You never know what they are packing. They can be potent cars.

I have a friend with a highly modded gs-t and i would walk him all day long with my old t2 setup. They are nice cars, but take quite a bit to make them fast.

As for the 8's they still run a respectable 14.0 1/4 time ... thats not too bad for a sport sedan.

Wait, 8's run 14.0 stock? Heh, last time I was at the drags there was a 350z, most likely stock, unless it had an intake or something, and it was running consistant 14.4's. I don't remember what 350z times are supposed to be, but I would have thought that it would be quicker in the 1/4 than the 8.

The stock 1/4 time for the Rx8 is 14.5. Mazda re-evaluated the Rx8 when the recall on the HP came about.....they said the performance numbers remained the same. 14.5 et's and 6 second nil-60.
