say you went to a mustang forum and all they did was bash your car because it isn't a mustang. would you want to still go there and post ??? no you wouldn't. be courteous. he hasn't tried to cause any trouble, and has had some useful posts already. give him some slack, he wants a FD

"lol 120 and my cars pulling like 4000rpm" is what started it, that probably pissed ppl off, obviously, when i read that i thought, huh?, what is this guys trying to say, like everyone one else with a American Sports car, he was laughing at whoevers cars that was..... BUT i agree it got kinda out hand.......... what is the top end on the second gen na anyway, i was gonna try to top end it but, my tires are not Z or Y rated. Going over the speed rating on your tires will make them get too hot and expand then BOOM. BYEBYE, so until i get some z rated tires, can anyone tell me the top end.?

was not trying to say any certain car is better or worse or even say mine pulls harder..

Sorry if I caused any problem...

I meant I am running around 4000 Rpms at 120 in 5th gear..

My 2.3 runs right around 5200rpms at 120 and is bacially redlining.

nothing but info was meant by my statement

ok. lol so do u know what ur top end is? Let me get this straight, higher gear rations mean more Acceleration, Lower gear ratios mean higher speeds right? But your car has a 2.3 ratio for 5th gear. @4000 ur at 120, redline is 5200 that would mean ur top end is near 135. But since ur gears are so low should u be able to go like real fast top end???? cuz rx7 final gear is like 3.9( or something in the neighborhood) and they max near 140-145. So what is wrong with this picture?

ok here it is...

with 225/60/15 tires I run 3800 RPM's at 120 in 5th gear

Most of the time I run a shorter tire.... but on stock tires thats what it is... and my redline is 5500rpms...

But that redline is easy to modify..

there are at least 10 aftermarket intakes for mustangs... and that is the EFI ones... several more Carbed ones...

Very easy to build a high revving 302 or 351 or 302 based 347 stroker or etc....

70mph crusing is 2300 rpms or so... with the 225/60's....

My winter tires are different though... and thats whats on it... but may put the vipers back on till snow falls.... my winter tires are just seasonal BFG Touring T/a Hr4's...

Nope havent topped my car out yet...

I want to replace the shocks struts quad shocks and get a strut tower brace springs and subframe connectors first... this car is an older convert and has a fair amount of cowl shake and some chassis flex...

It is a still shot of my speedometer

Exclamation

I hope no hard feelings have come from this. I was just having a little fun ******* with Twin. Opinions are like ********; everyone has one. I still have no love for rustangs, but at least Twin has a 7.

yes looking to buy a 7 as soon as my loan on my gt is paid off....

I will never leave the V8 crowd but I will step in with the RX7 crowd. Got to have that V8 sound and feel. But got to have that RX7 lightness and that unique rotary motor.

thats also why I have a 2.3 mustang. I am wanting to sooner or later make it a 2.3 turbo and run with the V8 crowd with it....

There are kits out there to put a V8 in a 7. Here is a pic of a FD with a LS-1 and a T-56 six speed tranny
