i was with the my friend when all of a sudden i run into a couple of souped up preludes. I got on the shoulder to pass them . The prelude in front wannted to run me. he had a full bodykit and big loud exhaust. We get to the stop sign and drag to 60. my car was completely stock, except no mufflers. He beat me by maybe 4 feet. Pretty damn good if u ask me for a stock na. this was like 7 months ago. this section is getting dull so i'm lookin back into the memory banks! :sigh: ah.... I also raced anothe one and got beat by 2 car lengths to 60, after the 2nd month of owning my car. I killed him though to 30. but i didn't know how to race though i was shifting@5000

if i raced one now i would CRUSH anyone.

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but, how can you beat a 200 hp(?) maxima and lose to a 140 hp(?) prelude.

when i raced the prelude, my car was stock, no mufflers( WOW 5 hp?) and i had only had my 7 for two months, first car w/ a stick. shifting@5000rpm, i wans't just barely breakin into the powerband. the 2nd one i raced was after i had the car for like 7 months, way better at shifting u see, i only lost by 4 feet to a modded prelude. i had no more mods down to my car. the maxima was raced like 6 months ago, when i had a all my mods done. and plus bud hp isn't everything, hell look at our cars. the maxma weighs probaly like 600lbs more than the prelude. are u sure about those figure on the prelude? wow lol. as i said i would kill one now.

Newer preludes have about 190HP...not 140! A stock prelude versus even a stock series V NA would win...don't underestimate them, lol. Now if you get some exhaust, intake, and good fuel system.....you will more then smoke one

Of course...if you have boost, there are very few preludes who can keep up

Preludes are crap after 60.... I usually begin pulling good on them around 45 and pulling hard on them after 60.....

Most honda's seem geared for 0-60 times.....

true, true and true. Didnt know what mods had been done to the car and what not. Sorry if I sounded a little harsh.

As far as preludes, the 97 up has 190. The 96 must have had somewhere between 140 and 160.

Good thing is, we got ppl posting here again. lol

laters
