Well if it was a new bug the engine compartment could not fit a 350. If it was an old bug then the engine is in the rear. So how did he work the tranny and stuff? Are you sure it wasent just a done up bug. Cause a 350 would not work no where for the huge tranny to go and how did they install the driveshafts???

there was a guy in my high school that had a small block in his old beetle. Hideous contraption and I don't know if it was fast but it was loud, with half the engine hanging out the back and hanging over the back a little too.

it was an old bug, and if you saw it you would know it was a 350 with part sticking out since he didn't have the hood/trunk on. It was a 350 I am sure. It was fast, but top end wasn't there. Sorry to take so long with the reply, I have been gone the past few days.

I don't know very many people who can tell a 350 from a 400 from a 289 when it's stuffed into the back of a bug and passing you on the street. You must be some sort of genius.

There is a guy around here with a 383 powered drag beetle. He does the biggest burnouts at cruise night...the cops look for him evvery week lol
