Um, before i call BS, what exactly is a FD? If youre talking 93 up TTs, then ill call BS. I have never seen one in the 13's, let alone a modded one. I spanked all over the place this 3G that was playing with a Stang, back when i was barely 14.1. I usually dont jump into a fight like that, but hey, it was a Stang so what can i say? I had to keep letting off to stay out of his bumper following him through traffic till i got a spot and just passed him, and believe me, i know when a turbo car goes to WOT. Then i saw this same guy about a year later (im running 13.5 by now), hes got IC piping, IC, HK$ filters and a bunch of other stuff, and im thinking man this is a nice fast car (now). Well he ran pretty much what we figured he would, 14.1@9x. So then i knew because none of the mods were new since the race, thats why i beat him.

Not B/S they are that fast!

Just a lot of dumb drivers or something wrong with the car.

Oh My car ran 14.8 bone stock

I am hoping for 14.4 14.5 now... with street tires..

And thats in a basically stock 89 GT convertible

Power everything

only nice thing my car has is a 5 spd!

But at that only 2.73 gearing..

So thats not too bad.

FD's are very capable of turning 13's...

FD

1993- 1995 though leftover 95's where being sold as 96's..

But 255hp stock and a fairly lightweight setup!

Now I have heard they do have wheel hop off the line but I figure a good driver could get around that since the hop hinders the drag strip performance. Now Road and track ran a 14.1 with severe wheel hop.

Now that is a 13 second car!!

Takes a good driver, but several FD owners have run 13.5's with 100% stock cars. I think 13.8-9's are more typical.

Although even if my car only ran 14.5, I'd still take it over a Talon on a track anyday. (Note- track, not strip.)

You should look around the third generation section before calling BS on something like this. FDs that are running properly can easily get into the 13s with a good driver...of course, the ones with good drivers aren't running properly, and the ones that run properly are sitting in garages. :P

Yeah Properly running FD should be in the 13's with a decent drive who is familar with his car or her car!

Thats why I was surprised I beat this guy!!!

I should of gotten my *** kicked so bad that my car would of looked like a metro!

Well now, lets think here for a second shall we.

i have a 91 TII, bone stock right now. I ran a 14.5 with a squeeling start the other day at the 'local' drag strip for open drags. Now a 91 TII has 200hp and weighs in at around 3k lbs.

Then you have the FD (93+) which weighs in at around 2600 lbs (if i remember right .. maybe a little more, but lighter that the s5 FC [my car])

and has stock 255hp. Its very capable of running low 13s, cause i can just about run a 14 flat stock. I also have my time slip to back it up, so trust me, im not lying.
