460+whp Civic!
#1
I estimate myself around 315-320whp.
I'm out at the races tonight in Fort Pierce BFE spectating and enjoying myself. I hadn't raced anyone all night long. It was getting time for me to start heading home, so I went ahead and said my good byes to all my friends for the night, and I got in my car and left. As I'm leaving, I gun it of course. No sooner than a minute later my friends call "Bro come back, you got a Mustang that wants to race you now."
So I turn around. Anxious to see which of the pretty decent 5.0's I'd be racing. Long story short, it wasn't very decent. Popped the clutch at 4 grand and I took him really nasty. Literally, within 200 feet I was probably 4 car lengths ahead of him. I swing in his lane and throw my hazards.
Anyways, this was apparently observed by the rest of the racing population, and I was once again called back to race a civic. I asked them "Is this Civic worth turning around for?" ... "Yes... Turn back around. Trust us."
I come back, and the Civic that wants to race me is the blue SI I keep hearing about so much. Everyone's always telling me how incredibly fast it is, how he's pushing 400whp+, blah, blah, blah. I saw him run a few times that night, and he was indeed fast for a little Honda.
So I end up lining up next to him and the first thing he says to me is "Let's run from a roll. I saw how fast you were off the launch and my car's not good at all low end." I think "Well, he's obviously trying to avoid traction loss, so I'll give him a shot from a roll." I ask in return "What speed roll do you want?" and he replied with "40mph."
I'm thinking: "Wtf? A 40mph roll? That's ridiculous..."
I tried talking him into a 20 roll, and he was dead set against anything other than 40.
So we both get to 40 and he hits the three honks.
1... 2... 3... BOOM we hit it.
My car bogs a little when I floor it. We're dead even through second. Third gear I begin to pull slightly. Then, (I came to find out after the race) he turns his boost up and his front bumper pulls about 4 feet in front of mine. Finally in fourth he gets me by about half a car.
So we come back and start to talk. He gets out of his car and goes "Holy **** man! That thing is wicked!" I accepted his compliment and told him his Honda's not too shabby either. So of course I asked him how much hp he was putting to the ground. He told me "On low boost (10psi), I put down 420." of course they asked me how much I was putting down, and I told them. They were shocked... "Damn man... That car is insane. The only reason we won was because we switched to hi-boost (20psi). That's when we started to pull on you."
Very cool, honest guys. We continued to talk cars... Of course I had to let them know that from a dead stop, the outcome would've been a lot different.
Apprently I had met one of them in south Florida before I moved up to PSL.
I was so proud of my car. My 315whp RX7 kept up with a 460+whp Civic with more than 10k into the motor.
Now I just need to purchase my front mount, HKS fuel pump, and up the boost a little.
I'm looking forward to next week.

Awsome...I kinda was supposed to face the same setup. Dude has special motor, fuel and NOS and NOS chiller on his big IC. I have 320 on my stock motor(its pulled now) but I was challanged by the Honda for a public showdown.
After your kills ...I cant wait.
You are the man who all will talk about in your hood.Honda killed!

Race him from a dead stop or a low speed roll and you should take him.
Thanks for all the praise. I've never felt as good about my 7 as I did last night.
