i took my FC to bordentown had to pick up a title for a car,
on the way back i was cruising the 195East and a yellow SeR SpecV with 2 rice boys pulls up behind me we are going about 75-80 at this point 2 lanes and traffic in the right lane, as the car in front of me pull sto the right i downshift to 4th and gun it, pulling from him but not enough so i shift down to 3rd and hit about 8k and shift to 4th again by this time im way ahead of him about20car lenghts or so, and he was racing since we lost all the other cars behind us.
next on route 9North an older style accord 5speed with exhaust leak pulled up on a light and we both have cars in front of us (one each) so they pull away and we go at it,
he got the jump on me but i shut him down nicely through first and 2nd and 3rd gears.
also had another race off a light with a mark 8 and we were dead even.

20 car lengths..doesnt add up if he was racin ya..
hes got more hp and torque.. no offense intended

my car is almost not stock, and yes i downshifted to 3rd, i rev it until it doesnt rev no more, around 8k or a bit more, and i dont think he went all the way up to my speed thats why, since i got to about 130 before i shut down
plus what good is it to me to make up stories?

was misleading...
btw peggin your tach isnt necessarily relative to more power...
as im pretty sure your power band is below that...

you essentially need to maintain optimum power at each shift point..

i figured his na to be around 6500-7000 peak..
at 85+ downshifting to third is
unless his gear ratios was altered..
