Well me and my buddy raced, me in my 89 gtu-(stock), against my friends 2003 Vr6 Jetta, with a CAI and Full exhaust. He started before me and i caught up and slowly pulled away from him. The road we raced on had a slight turn to it, he was on the inside lane.

not true. I raced my friends GLI 2005 thing with my fd with downpipe and catback. Murderd him by about 5-6 cars and was still pullin before I just shut it down. my only race so far, he spent 30 something thousand to get destroyed by me

Hey, new to the forums but I just had one thing to comment on in this topic.

If you own an FD you should only try to be racing Corvettes, NSX's, and the like. Lightweight pluse extremely good handling just gives you the advantage in the same price range vehicles. Except maybe a GTO .

welcome to the boards. The original thread starter has a FC non turbo so thats why I think he was bragging because he beat a newer car and he has the right to brag on that. Me on the other hand only raced my friend because 1 he was my friend and 2 he was talking smack about his car being all kinds of fast so I had to show him otherwise. I don't race on the street usually thats why he was my only race so far in about 6 weeks of ownership

Hehe. Didn't mean any harm. More so as an ego boost to all fellow FD owners.
