Well we all showed up sooner or later... The Jomo thing did NOT work

I did not blow it up, but I am about 3 qts short of oil by now.

Get to the track about 7:45 and I can see Kawasaki-san walking the track. There are 2 of his boys with insect sprayers wettign down the launch area...I think to myself this ought to be good, they are finally putting VHT down...Yeah turned out to be kerosene. Guys are sliding off the line like they are launching on butter the First round. We get through first round, and 5 cars are out, broken gearboxes, broken front axles, and a few that I really am not sure about. HAS snapped the gearcase in the GT-R, there goes another $2500 in OS Giken parts. Speed Factory's pink R never makes it to the track, think he had problems on the drive down.

First round I cut a pretty decent light, and nail a 7.080 run (7.0-7.5 class)

I figure I have this in the bag

Well in between rounds they give up a practice run So I decide to try out high boost and see what will happen 6.921 w/ a .087 reaction time. I figure its too fast I will leave it on low boost and just play the day out.

Second round, I end up against a Supra I have not seen beforea cross be tween a gunmetal and Champagne color. I line up, stage, and the lights come down, right about 2nd yellow I realize my gas pedal is not where it should be...with my foot on it. Slam it as fast as I can just as the yellow comes on. BOG off the light grab second, and I am still beating this newer supra. Through the traps I get him. Go back and get the time slip.... I would ahve been better off in the other class I pull a Blistering 8.299 with a .234 Reaction time...and a 2.5 60ft

Second round complete, its about noon, Well either they for got to tell the crew to go to lunch or they just brain farted, We restart @ 2:30 No third round, its a bracket race. The timing crew must still be on their nap because as they list the times for the brackets a few of the americans are messed up, some have the wrong times, others have too fast of a time, Just a botched job from the timing guys (second round the idiot in charge of printing time slips is too busy watching the drags to realize the machine is out of paper. ) I start out as 12th place...the guys add my reaction time, but nobidy elses. I take the time slip up they realize the mistake and I go from twelth to third. I get lined up with a Miata (MX-5) This guy does not stand a chance... been running slow all day. Lights come down, I go, and I go for the gusto...Break out 6.929 The Miata wins by default. I am out first round.. sucks to be me

Fergy ends up 1st place in C class

Some of the other guys that came with me all left with a Troophy as well. Not my loser ***, I come home with a few trinkets from rock paper scissors.

The turbo holds up all day, till I go to leave, then decides to **** the rear oil seal. I figure its gonna make it home, I hit 58 with a cloud of smoke rolling off the car that lasts for a block...or three. All I have to do is make it to the expressway and the car will slow the smoking once I get up to cruising speed. Well the JP's think differently, I don't even make it to McDonalds in Nago and the red lights are on me. Can't speak enough japanese to talk to them, and they dont have a clue what I am trying to tell them. They want to call the fire dept because my car is on fire...

I finally talk them out of it and explain it will be fine once I hit the expressway. They let me go and I join the guys at Mc D's Finally get it home, Ill acess the damage tomorrow.

The Skies were clear in Nago all day until about 6:30 pm, Had about 65 cars show up. HAS 180 was running slow for some reason he missed a gear 2nd bracket and knocked himself out

Fergy ended up running the RAM Soarer for the finals in his class. There were more drivers/crews than there were spectators. Kawasaki-san made fun of my turbos all day, they were waiting for the damn thing to explode. Some of the runs were a complete comedy. F-Class was a riot. 3 of my friends R32 GTS-t 4 door, R31 GTS-X (running on 4 cylinders, blown turbo and no exhaust) and my old 92 Camaro RS (Blistering 10.10 runs) A 240Z and one of the Vanquish 180's. First couple of runs are fine for all of them, the 180 and R32 go at it, 180 wins, the Camaro and R31 go at it...R31 takes him by over half a track...but redlights so 1st 180, 2nd R32 and third, the sowest car at the track all day, a POS 1992 305cid Camaro w/ 170hp

The most fun of the day was Kawasaki-san and the damn rock paper scissors at the end

The HKS Drag Meeting in August will have the R33 HKS Drag car, he will be making a few exibition runs on the track with it, you will be required to play rock paper scissors to ride in it
