Tips and hints .... Dont worry about removing the carpet from under the center of the dash... just cut it clean. Take your time, if you get a wrinkle try to work it into a spot that is not noticeable then cut the wrinkle down the middle, and glue the carpet over itself. Don't get too high from the glue fumes... I recommend a mask or something... I saw little green dots on more than one occasion.

I would be carefull of the fumes from the glue.

We had someone blow a boat with them in it up from the fumes.

The explosion was sparked by a cordless screwgun's spark .

This was at least 2 hours AFTER the carpet had been glued down.

Those fumes are no joke and VERY explosive, and remember

fumes are heavier then air so they stick around on the floor.

Please be carefull as this guy ended up with bad burns over most of his body from this.

Mike, I was looking for the dye last night with no luck. I looked at the hardware store, pep boys, track auto, and even auto zone.

What is the name ofthe stuff you used and where did you buy it at?

Nice job on your interior!

I did mine more than a year ago. My threads are on the "other" forum. Been a year and it has not peeled. Mine was a 94, so the door panels were already the right color, but I coated them anyway to make it a deep black. I had dyed my carpet, but after about 9 months I got a good deal on a used set so I installed it.

I replaced my tan seats covers with leatherseats.com seat covers.

No Mike the other Mike (rx7trix)

LOL

I want to use dye.

I did the lower pass side kick panel last night with plasticoat. I looks ok but I can scratch the color off.

So i need to dye the parts.

Im just goona buy the overhead parts in black. I think that would give me the best results.
