Seats are the second most expensive thing on a car next to the engine.
Good luck finding those in a junkyard, lol.
Maybe in a few years, junkyards now have computers that tell them
the dealer price of the part new and if they have it in thier stock, so now they have raised thier prices now that they know the price of the parts
new. The odds of someone parting one out anytime soon are pretty slim too.
They do look awesome though

unless you find some old school junkyard who has no clue, junkyards now have computers with programs that have the price of the parts in them, I needed a mirror for a Probe I painted, they wanted $60 ******* dollars for it, the price with my discount new was like $85 or some ****, I cant quite remember the exact dollar amounts but I do know the difference from new from the dealer and the junkyard was $25. I asked the guy why so much money and he dropped the price in half when I told him I would just buy it new.
I went for that bumper cover for the vert Im selling. A aftermarket one would cost me $85. I needed the strips for the sides ( $14 list from Mazda, shops get the 20% off so you do the math), so I figured if a junkyard had the whole thing for cheap I would just get it there. I called one and he had it, told me $100, I told him I would give him $50. He gives me this line of **** how the bumper new is over $500, lol. Soooooo I told him I can get a brand new aftermarket bumper for $85 and if he wants to sell me that bumper for $50 then he would have a sale. Needless to say I just got around to painting it yesturday but I got it for the $50.

The seats that 93 R1 is talking about were not available in all the 7's in Japan.
These $7000 Recaros were only in the "RZ" and "Spirt R" and im not sure about the "RS" or "bathhurst" versions.
Depending on the year of RZ, they came in either red or black, with carbon kevlar backs on them. The Spirt R's were red only.
To find a used set of these will be near impossible but I have seen a red and black pair of RZ seats up for sale before. I believe someone on this board bought the red ones. Even used they are still expensive.

IMO the rx7 seats are much nicer looking than the RX8 seats. The leather on the rX8 seats looks like cheap Vinyl, the seatbacks are plastic, and the adjustment levers look like they came out of a cheapo ford parts bin. Also keep in mind that they house side impact airbags. That will jack up the price and the weight of a set that has them intact. If they're blown you'll have to figure out a way to repair the covers.
