i just got the 99 spec bumer and the APEXi sideskirts, now i need a paint job. what color should i paint my car?

i suggest goin with something red, so you dont have to change the registration of the car, or have to take the engine out.



the 99 spec red is a pretty hot color, or something like deep crimson color.

I like the RX8 red, Velocity red mica. I don't know that paint code but the color is nice.

dammit i want to do the same thing i want the skirts and bumper, and 99 spec wing. i want to paint mine white but that jap spec red is sexy.

I think all the FD's that were red came with the tan interior. Also the Montego Blue's I believe.

I would personally do IBM. It looks friggin sweet, and did I mention it looks friggin sweet. I wanna do IBM to my FC, but that is me talking my ass off.

there are a lot of black interior'd red fd's, but your'e right about the montego blue.... most have tan interior. and you're also right about white, cym, and ibm....... you MUST have black interior

IBM will always look ******* sweet. I am seeing more of the IBM look on other types of cars. Dodges, Chrysler. I am sure they don't call it IBM, but looks sweet.



I am also seeing more RX-8's on the road. I see at least 3-5 a day now. And I saw an old Datsun 240z? Love the retro look.

The color should depend on what you want to do.



If you want showy and flashy, get something bright, like Spa Yellow Pearl on the S2K or pink. CYM looks kind of dull compared to any of the Honda Yellow's. Or you could get real flashy and get the NSX Orange or Z33 Orange. Hell, even the xB Orange looks nice.



If you something more subtler, I would suggest the Titanium Gray on the RX8 or one of the darker metallic grays from Porsche. The special color for the '01 FD Spirit R would also be a nice subtle color. Or good ole' IBM.

the current import tuner has a feature on a pink FD or FC, cant remember.

i have a black interior on my vr fd. i am looking at different color options myself, if you dont care about money, the check out house of kolor's colors, they have very nice ones.

I have seen a CYM in person. It looks rather nice, and is quite fitting for the FD. However, I've seen some of the factory Honda yellow and they appear, to me at least, to be bolder more full of color. Maybe the CYM I saw just had dull paint, but it still looked rather delicious. question along the lines of this... i also have a vr fd... interior is stock tan (not anymore though) most interior to be put in is leather or suede, black and grey...



now im painting my car white, not like base mixer white or anything though.



two paint choices are as follows....



white diamond (dts caddies, escalades as well)



pearl white (saw one today on the lexus sc400, like white diamond but with whiter basecoat)



there is a LOT of aluminum pieces on the car/ interior. which is best for the small fd set against aluminum (polished of course)

the hottest white paint ever to hit the market has to be hands down the 300gt vr4 white pearl the white turns heads big time

yeah i just switched my vr to black interior...but i thikn when my 99 spec wing comes in i am going titanium grey or cym... just choose whatever color fits you best man....you own an fd thats already the best part!

I always think that the white, IBM and CYM will always look bad ass to me. I will be doing one of those colors to my car. More than likely IBM, cause it is just money. And my car ain't fast enough to be painted yellow. Or yashio factory pink.
