Thats it? Compound and thats all?



I wish I could get away with that, I use 2 different compounds, two different glazes, then wax. Wool pads, foam pads, hand applicators... Im picky with that ****.

On a side note.

My car was recently damged by acid rain.

I had little water spots in the finish that would not wash off.



I bought a wax bar treatment by Mothers.

It is a major PIA to get the spots off using that but after following all steps it seems to be working.

I was goning to jusy buff it but I hate buffing cars. Getting the swirl marks out is a bitch.



I agree with Rob, it would be in your best interest to pay someone to do it. I know I would.

ummm i spent 4.5 hours washing and waxing and buffing....god damn 4 coats of wax takes forever...my arm was about to fall off. I dont like to use my electric buffer, it feels like im ******* up my paint.



it sure does look purdy though

I spend all day when I polish my own car once a year and I have

been polishing for 16 years.

nice, i do a 4 step wax every three months, and then polish in between.



My paint sucks pretty bad so i dont go ALL out for gloss and protection, ect.

31, I remember compounding a scratch out of my dad's

Mustang when I was 14, but I didnt start with the machine until I was 15, lol.

I was supposed to be class of 1988, but I chose to cut school

to drive around rather then stay in school.

i did wax it by hand after i polished it, it looks good.
