FL weather sucks ass! Everytime I wash the 7 it rains like clockwork. I guess i need a garage. Thats nice for a low speed orbital buff job.

rx7machine 08-26-2003 04:56 PM

Yea, a garage would be nice.

KingFD 08-26-2003 05:28 PM

Thats one sweet ride. Makes me wanna get one.

How many rpm is yours? and how do you use it? I got one but its different cuz they dont stock those anymore.

I cant find those products but once i do i'm gonna test them on my car. In the meantime how do you use it.

I just looked on the box real quick and on the unit itself and I did not see RPM's. Its motion is more of a vibrating than a rotating. It definatly does not spin fast I would call it rotating slowly.

Meguiers is good wax for the price.

I used to be a giant fan of Zymol it is just very tedious to apply. It takes a long time. You apply and remove twice then you spray the car down with cool water to "set" the wax. Then you dry it and buff it out. Its all natural and supposidly has oils and such that keep the surface of the car "oiled" for lack of a better word.

I just dont have the time for it anymore.

Dramon_Killer 08-26-2003 10:11 PM

So basically you put the wax on the pad. Wax on wax off? like normal just the pad is bigger? Also can you reuse pads?

Jims5543 08-26-2003 10:29 PM

Yes I usually wax on with the buffer. Then take a small applicator pad and do all the parts I could not get with the buffer. Then I use terry towells to take off the bulk of the dry wax by hand. Then I use the Buffer to polish up a nice shine.

Thanks! Yes it is. It suprisses many. At Autocrosses I sometimes will keep the hood closed. You would be amazed at how many "stop by and visit" after the car does a run.

I have a hard time getting people to bite on the street. When I would drive my wifes GT Mustang I would get tons of people stepping up. Its very rare in the FC. [/quote]

haha, mine has the same effect. its fun https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
