I have seen some people paint their calipers red, but after a while they turn black and ugly. Either the dust from brakes sticked to them or they just didn't know how to paint it. I would like to do mine, but I'm affraid it will look like S**t after a while.

looks good. Just hose them off when you wash the wheels - or spray them with wheel cleaner. that'll keep 'em on the clean side - touch up once a year.
