Satin Black
I think it's cool only if you beat the **** out of the car everytime you get in it. It's one of those colors that says "I don't really care what thi looks like cuz it's gonna be dented and crashed in a minute". I really do think it looks sweet though.

it would look like you couldnt afford a paint job
All 3 of my Hummers are flat green, am I cool?
in the original hot rod days people did that because they
didnt have the means to paint the car, but usually
they spent all thier money under the hood, then
did bodywork, but was awaiting paint.
not the case nowadays, people do it because for 3-4 cans of
spray paint they can give thier car the "bad ***" look
at least they think thier cars look bad ***, in summery- if your
sporting flat black, you should have the horsepower to back it up

Satin is a sheen as eggshell and the rest of the shiny paint family.
You mean flat black which belongs on a select few 30's era hot rods, a fender or two on a lowrider in east L.A. and not much else.

satin is semi, very close to flat, might as well be the same thing
when your painting a whole car in it
then I will stand corrected- if the car is satin it will look like its
oxidized. Its one thing when flat or semi trim offsets a shiny paint job
either way- if thats what he wants then go for it, but I doubt he is
getting someone to spray it satin, im sure its spray cans and will
look terrible. Satin and flat is actually on the difficult side to spray
because it looks so uneven
