Well increaded downforce at speed has been confirmed (for me anyway) after a few high speed runs. Front end was light, something that hasn't happened before. Time for some dive planes and possibly a splitter.

I don't know if it does your car any good Michel. Either way you still have one of my favorite 3rd gens.

Here's another. Fitment was very good and would have been perfect if it had not been for my fat *** exhaust canister. I did have to trim the bottom trailing edge of the diffuser in a V or slightly U shaped pattern to clear the exhaust. It still causes a slight bow on that side. One suggestion I would have is finishing off the top side (side that faces the underside of the car) with carbon but undoubtedly that would add cost/weight.
Michel:

Maybe you can use a short spacer of 0.5" between the diffuser and the side bracket to clear the exhaust.

Actually adding a CF on the other side will not make it look better because the surface will not be smooth. The mold surface is on the other side. I would suggest you to paint the side facing up with some high temp paint like the BBQ grill one. That will make it look better and only costs $5. =)

BTW, can you take some photos of the FC2000 bumper and the RX8 with my CF hood for me?

Thanks.

last one from the side. Sorry the pics aren't better...just messing around while waiting for a meeting to start so I decided to snap a few pics to pass the time. I've had it on for about a week now and no complaints. Had it up to about a buck 20 on the highway, car felt more stable. Hasn't hit anything, no driveways, etc...Overall I'm very happy with it. RE-Amemiya has two extra runners that fit in the main channel which help to smooth the airflow out even more. Maybe an option chuck? I give it two thumbs up
The bow tech generator at the center is supposed to smooth the air flow more to minimize turbulence. I bet it works but RE-A wants a lot of money for it. I personally will rather make some aluminum one. Cheap and functional.

It looks like it might work with hte stock rear trimming, does it not?
It actually fits with the stock rear bumper under skirt. I personally think it looks kind of funny with the rear bumper under skirt still on.

The rear diffuser is supposed to reduce lift so it feels like there is more downforce at the rear end. Pretty cool huh? Crashunit had the same feed back. He felt the car is more stable at high speed with the diffuser than with a rear wing.

Chuck!

Yeah, I'll get some pics of that stuff for you...work has kept me away from the shop, that and worrying about my turbo/finding a replacement. Anyway, yeah, I realized it wouldn't work when I looked at the rough finish on the back. I plan on doing the "BBQ" mod here soon :-) I "plan" on purchasing one of the Titanium mufflers with the smaller canisters on the market. Looking at the Magnaflow (but unavailable for a month or more and no price yet), the Tanabe, the JIC, and GReddy. I hate anything GReddy at this point so it'll probably be the JIC as it has a resonator.

As far as the stability, it definitely makes a difference but I may need a bit more downforce up front with the FEED front end. I am thinking one set of canards may be fine unless I go with a rear wing. Do you sell canards (dive planes) for the front? I know Mike's car had two on each side but I'm not sure I would need two on each side until I went with a wing...might have to do a bit of track testing!
