I was going to make my own but found a good deal on a S5 surround and picked it up. Since i have a vert though it doesnt fit using the stock radio bracket. I can either find a used one or i was considering trimming the left side and making a new guage holder to fill the gaps. I was thinking of painting the surround anyway so its not too big a deal, any thoughts?

Have you thought about going to Circ. City and seein if they have the inserts for it? I had to do it to mine(88 se), and still had to cut the stereo surround.

I would have gotten a s5 radio chassis rather then hacking the surround
