Im trying to mount my commander on the dash using velcrow. I cleaned the area thoroughly. Wont stick. I have cleaned it several times and used a fresh piece of velcrow each time. No go. How does everyone else mount there commander?

Dude, I tried using velcro and double sided tape to mount my turbo timer to the steering column and I had the same problem. No matter how clean it was or how sticky the tape was, it would not stick. I am considering super glue at this point. Can always buy a new top column piece down the road if I need to.

You could always fab one out of Aluminum... Can't imagine it would be too hard...

It also fits where the ashtray goes

Now, if you want a challenge... Find somewhere to mount the PMS keypad! :wiggle:

Try cleaning the area with some alcohol, as well as the commander.

I found the hook and loop tape like they sell in Radio Shack works REALLY well, its not velcro, it almost looks like its 2 sides of velcro that isnt the fuzzy part. Also used here in New York to hold the Easy Passes for the tool booths. I cant see that not working.

Put it on the commander then stick it to where you want to put it on your dash-meaning pull one part off, stick it to the commander, then pull the other part off and put it on the dash while its still attatched to the commander. The **** is hard to pull apart, it "locks" into each other.
