Don't go just by the color code, have them get the color right from your car so that the colors will blend well. Unless of course the rest has been repainted recently.

mike, the color code for your car is typed on the label on your driver side door well....... right below the door bracket thing. since you have an older car, you should give them the code, and ask them to match it.

i remember when my car's bumper needed to be painted when it was still montego blue, they didnt have a problem matching the color. they also did some kind of overspray technique where part of my fenders and hood were painted also.(im not sure if they really did that, but i sure did get charged for it.) back then the colors matched pretty well.... thats til i smashed my car against a wall a year later

costs should be about $250-up depending on where you live, it also

depends on how the shop goes about painting plastic bumpers

and if the bumper is already primed or not.

You dont ask for a specific amount of paint, it depends on what

kind of paint the shop uses. The basecoat is sprayed until

it covers, then the clear. High solids clear are only 2 coats, others

require more and it also depends if they are going to wet sand the

orange peel off or not to match the car.

Its not like the old laquer days where they sprayed 15 coats on

and sanded most of it off to get a orange peel free finish.

the color code should be taken off the car and even then the

paint should be tested to match, without spraying the adjoining

areas it is possible that the color and peel wont match 100%.
