Need 6 Speakers In My S5...
#1
*gasp* im not buying a power adder! yes surprise surprise.
anyway right now i have 6 speaker locations but only 4 speakers (doors and dash)
These 4 suck.
So im looking for some reccomendations. Im not going for world record of sound, just looking for something crisp to get the mids and highs so i dont just hear my 10" sub going "booooom" all the time.

in my mr2...i had pioneer speakers... the 6x5 or whatever the "door size" is they cost me about 20 bucks at circuit city they were white...they were ******* awesome.... i also got 2 of the "dash sized" ones pioneer as well, they were blue ....
i got the mr2 with no speakers, so i bought them, i was looking for a good sound , low budget, easy install system... i didnt care if it made people turn around, i just wanted music
the cheap pioneer stuff rocks.... also i had some kind of amp running it....if i go look back to my old receipts i can find you the models

if your not going to run a amp then any speaker will
sound about the same, a head unit isnt going to drive
6 speakers and sound good.
A 50x4 amp wont break the bank to run the door and rear
speakers, and hopefully you can run the dash speakers
from the head unit.
if not- dont bother with the dash speakers- they aim at your feet
and suck anyhow. I had JBLs in the dash and I didnt even notice
them, they add a tiny bit of fill, but nothing to speak of, and they
had 50 watts going to each of them.

alotta cars already have small amps going to the speakers..
so it goes from the head unit, to the amp, to the speaker..
sometimes if you wire a new head unit up, you won't get sound because of something to do with the car already being amped, but my pioneer speakers and and head unit all work and sound really well, with the cars stock amp. i guess everything was compatible.
i would go with pioneer. they usually sound nice. i also have a set of 6x5 jbl's that came with my car and sound good if you want them.

and a aftermarket radio will have high level outputs.

hmm maybe ill do something just for ******* around during normaly driving that i can remove easily for the track. this way i can sneak my 3 12's and 1600watt amp in as well but not worry about the 500 extra pounds.

I want to get speakers in the doors but I have an 86. so no openings.
I have pioneer Tweeters in the doors between the AC vent and the door handel. this is a primo spot for the tweeters.
I also have pioneer 4" under the dash,
I have Pioneer 6.5 in the strut towers and a set of audiobahn 6X9's in the area where the bins are supposed to go in later FC's
I have all regular speakers running to a Jensen 600X4( ::: Puts on flame retardent gloves:: and my 2 12's running off a Rockford Fosgate 800a4.
My system sounds killer with the bass on -6 so you can imagine.
im getting rid of the jensen 600 for $150 great amp for mids and highs for your best speakers and decent for a set of entry level 12's if using for bass. Im sellingit cause I want to use the 800a4 for my mids and highs (:: EXPENSIVE SPEAKERS WITH HIG POWER HANDELING COMING: and buy an 800a2 for the 2 12's

Ohhh bye the way technics to run the 6 speakers and to get great sound an amp of some sort will be needed. You will not get to good of sound running 6 speakers from the head unit since they can only really handel a 4 ohm load and if you put 2 speakers together you know. your best bet would be to get a decent 4 channel amp if you dont want it to show you can mount is hidden. and if you want a little bass Rockford Fosgate amps the A2 and A4 series are the way to go. I would reccomend no other amp for bass but that is my .02
