Are these threaded or universal? I have a S4 and I know the thread pattern is different then S5 and FD shifters. Basically will if fit my car? If not do you know if it is possible to rethread it to fit my car. I know the thread pattern for the S5 and FD is 10x1.25 and the S4 is 12x1.5 (same as Audi TT or so I am told). Would that leave me enough room to enlarge it? Here is the one I am talking about

Just get an S5 shifter.

 

I already have an Mazdatrix S4 short shifter and Im not going to get rid of that.

 

Well then you might be out of luck.
