the fenders on the blue car are some kind of aftermarket, the fenders on the

silver one a bit further down are stock with the side markers, they arent recessed.

It has been said that the fenders arent recessed for the light, the light

just sits on top.
If you guys had read his post properly, you would have noticed he was asking about the Mazdaspeed(doesnt say that part) "anniversary" fender flares.

So if you do install the Mazdaspeed wide body kit (includes Front and rear wide body fender flares), yes the front side markers would be recest into the fender.

If you do not install the light, there will be a hole there, that you could possibly fill in wiht FBG.

As for the blue car. It looks as if the Mazdaspeed flares were used in some way and molded into the fender.

Very simple: In the US we have the side markers/blinkers on the bumper. In Japan and europe they have them on the fenders. Take a look at your front bumper on the sides and you will notice the other set of blinkers. On the JDM bumpers they do not have them.

Actually, the original post was this:

What is this exactly. (The orange blinker thingy on the fender) I see it on all the JDM cars but I am not sure if it's a blinker that works or is it just a reflector??

Can these be added to a US car without hacking the fender to ****?

No where did he mention Mazdaspeed or anniversary fenders, the original question was : can these be added without hacking", then the thread went off asking if they were recessed, which in fact they arent on the blue car he originally posted. Then someone ELSE posted a pic of that other blue car, which OBVIOUSLY has the recessed lights.

I think we are all confusing each other.

Actually Its my fault, I should of done an "edit" on my post after.

I should have mentiond that I was quoting "papasmurf" first post.

He was stating that you had to put blinkers in if you used the anniversary kit flares.

After that, peeps were still telling him that they are not recessed in the fender, when in turn he was correct that they would be if you used the flares.

Cheers

i thought they were recessed, sorry everyone for the confusion. i wanted to get the fender flares ( unless i find better ) to fit larger wheels, the side marker doesnt look so great if its not recessed ( other have stated before )
