omg, dude your gonna die in a crash!!! Those wrap around type are for rollbar only, not for mounting to your strut tower bar (I don't give a crap how well your aftermarket strut tower bar is!). Why you might ask, well in a crash, that strut tower bar can bend and you will go flying foward and you will probally die (I'd bet cash money on it) It's your life and you can do what ever you want but I'm just letting ya know, you installed it very wrong!

BTW: All the points need a 4-5 inch solid 1/4 inch square steel reinforcement brackets or their gonna let loose and your gonna go flying! Also, welding anything to the body is not gonna hold up in a crash. I don't really know if your trying to go for the safty or the riceboy type of effect. Also note that if you have a real 5pt safty harness and have it installed correctly, you will not beable to duct to the side if you roll and the roof might crush you so you do need a roll bar/cage (I say a cage is needed, I crap on roll bars). Also note that if you got a roll bar/cage, you do need a helmet cuz in a crash, your head will go smacking into everything like a pinball in a pinball machein! It's an all or nothing type of deal here when it comes to safty.

Good luck and for godsakes, don't use that 5pt safty harness the way its setup!

Ok a last note is that the side seatbelts should go across your hips and should not be above, if it is, it might lacerate your liver or other internal organs in a crash. K thats it for now

yeah, dude. Skunks is right. You should calculate the force you body exerts when going from 60-0 in .5 seconds. Then decide if your STB can support that much shear (not sheer) force. I wouldn't worry so much about the aluminum cylinder as the support plate(s) at either end that the aluminum is bolted to. I calculated that I need at least 210,000 PSI tensile strength to stop me in a mild accident. Any less than that, and I'm taking my life into my hands.

Ok, here is how i put in my 5-point sabelt harness. I used the factory seat belt mount with the factory bolts for the lapbelts. And i mounted the shoulder straps to the roll cage. Mounting the shoulder straps to the rear brace isnt near as strong as the cage, but its better than other installations ive seen. Always mount the shoulder harness at shoulder height. That way when you crash, it doesnt rip your shoulders out of their sockets. And try to use the factory mounts and bolts, as they are designed and tested to work under extreme stress.

Check the SCCA and http://www.carsrally.ca/ sites or get a book. They have all the specs on installation plus some drawings in the books.
