Shaved lights tend to make the hood look not as long as it really is thats

a good effect
I have a FD hood sitting at my shop, that thing is TINY, much smaller

then a FCs hood, and probably one of the smallest hoods I have seen in

a while.
that's really the only thing i dislike about the fd, small engine bay makes everything soooo cramped

How is this thread here if the last post was in Aug 03?

Anyways, I agree about the Mr2 vs. Rx7 pop ups, but I know why I like it on the Rx7 but not on the Mr2:

Body Lines. Check out the body lines of the Mr2 surrounding the lights, its somewhat curvey, but overall flat. The Pop-ups themselves are almost a perfect square shape...and when they come up...it's very disruptive to the very flat lines.

Now, the rx7 has curves surrounding the pop up's,...and when they are down...you can see the cover is a rounded off ovular shape...nice. When they are up, they are nestled between the curve of the hood and curve of the fenders.

Rx7's with sleek lights look odd to me, simply because you can tell they were originall pop-ups (if for some reason...you never knew that already) and that makes it look cheezy, even if the kit is super-sweet...

I'm liking the idea of a lower rise, and thats it. The lights in the low rise hopefully looking "finished" off and not like 2 bulbs bouncing around in some technical mess...
