Nice. With the HID kit, what will the high beams be, halogen?
Yes, high beam will be halogen if you only want the low beam HID upgrade.

chuck..... out of curiousity...... is it possible to still install one of these kits after installing your sleek lights kit?
As long as you cut the frame like shown on the instruction, you will be able to bolt back the stock headlight motor assembly and use the pop up lights.

just a note!!!

if you are using the same configuration for the stock headlights where you the driving beams turn off while the high beams are on, be aware that when you flicker your lights, it is very bad for your HID bulbs and ballasts. so when it is installed, chuck has instructions on his page to set them to go "non sequential" so you can save the life of your expensive lighting system.

thanks for the info chuck...... im considering going back to pop ups

I'm interested as well. Hated the stock headlight but don't like the sleek light look either.

In order to get a lower height, I assume you're making a shorter actuator arm as part of the kit?

You will reuse the Hella lights. So pretty much you will be buying the kit with everything but the Hella lights.

Nope, I don't touch the arm itself. I relocate the mounting point so the light pops up lower. The new mounting point will be on the bracket that holds the Hella lights.
