Well the link is to Autopia, a forum for rich bastards who have OCD about their paint and the time to detail their cars weekly....so i believe it to be true, but your mileage may vary. And wax will layer itself, the process just depends on the type of wax and the surface its being adhered to.

the guy waxes the car everyday for how many days and its NOT

supposed to look good?

He also states how its best not to wash the car, which I would also

say he means not to put it outside.

If thats the case then he should just be glazing the car and

forget the wax, on a properly prepared surface wax does

NOTHING for gloss enhancement. When you properly

compound and glaze a car in the correct steps you will see

that a coat of wax usually dulls things a bit.

Now if all your doing is waxing, then of course it will appear

to be a better shine. Try glazing the car everyday, it will

look much better then waxing daily

Or hell, just repaint the damn thing every weekend. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

to each his own, lol. At least the paint shop is working with you dave

I guess if your silly enough to wax the same car everyday

your a bit screwy in the head, lol

I've had my bumper repainted 3 times by the same body shop that painted my car, and the color is off. You really need to have it blended with the hood and fenders.

Well I could do that I suppose if it came down to it. What would you suggest I do next Rob? The paint itself looks dead on if you look straight down at it but from angles it is obvioulsy lighter. I know that there is no guarentee that anyone thing will cure this. I am just looking for advice.

I don't really notice the difference Dave. I guess you just have to see it in person. I think people will notice the FMIC and single turbo more, but you are a very picky guy.

Get the spooler in yet?

Rob x-7 06-16-2004 09:53 PM

next step would be to blend the color into the fenders and bumper

and clear it all, key being not to spray color near the doors

Had my buddy/employee point out to me that I did mix the paint with alot of thinner on the last pass to get the pearl/mica stuff to flow out real nice and not have any tiger stripes. Think that would have been enough to lighten it?
