You guys know how the gauges in a Porsche (I'm sure there are others), when you turn the car, sweep from left to right, and then fall back?

Is this something you can do with the wiring, how does this work? This would be a bad-*** little aesthetic mod...

These gauges are electronic gauges that have a servo in them to do that.....They do this because its a test at each start up to make sure they are working properly. My bike has the same thing. As for doing it yourself, i have no freaken clue LOL

I remember reading something on Defi's website about that "test" thing, but they're gauges are obscenely priced. There's gotta be some electrical whiz out there who would have a clue...

Maybe you could wire in a capacitor that will discharge when you turn on the key. Hmm, let me think on this for a while.

Please do!

This may seem like a ricer mod to some, but nothing would make me want to rev/drive my car faster than seeing my gauges do that.

Maybe I'm just weird.

The spedometer is mechanical, at least on fc's, so I cant do that one, but with the other guages it shouldnt be to hard.

I know how to make the tach sweep.

push the gas pedal!

You also get a awesome rotary exhaust sound too!
