After using hacked Bose door mounts with the BA 6.5 Pros for 2 years I switched to a set of base model speaker mounts and sealed up the open area that allows access to the window tracks with a big sheet of dynamat.

The Bose mounts did not seal the speakers front to back because of the irregular shape of enclosure. By contrast I was able to install the BA 6.5s in the base mounts without any significant modification. I was expecting the bass and mid range to improve with the new setup considering how **** poor the previous setup was. However, I was still surprised at how much better the new setup sounds.

**** I am so lazy with the radio situation in my car. I have been kicking only the dash center speaker since i removed my dash nearly two years ago.

I just replaced my door speakers which were blown for 2 years - which are my only speakers besides a sub

if I didnt put a new headunit in last year because the old one wouldnt put out any sound I would remove the stereo altogether
