Damn Dave you are crazy, more power too ya' though!, I cut my carpet when I put it in. There is no way in hell I would take my dash out just to put in carpet. While you had the dash out, you should have put in a new heater core, thats another nightmare job when it starts to leak!

i want to do my interior too, but taking the dash out is not something ill think ill do. were you able to source a black headliner and visors? or are you still using tan pieces?
I painted my tan ones, It has held up just fine. I am about to get a parts car though next week with a full black interior. So I am gonna grab the good ones for my car.
