[quote name='rfreeman27' date='Sep 13 2005, 11:39 AM']i want an ad9, but im not going to pay 1200 bucks for fiberglass...

So pay 1400 for carbon. The thing is so light it floats. I had to put some gold bullion in the frame to keep it on the car. THe gold was just sitting around anyway, at least it's getting used now.

the stock FD hood is like 15lbs. I make enough power to afford to loose the 4 lbs in fiberglass...

Are you sure you make enough power? ratio is like 1:1 right? lol

I like the Scoot and the Feed, but why aren't you guys painting these hoods?

Is the weight of paint really an issue, or is it because it looks cool unpainted?

I debated paiting this Scoot hood. But in all honesty, I kinda like the ricey look of CF on a red car. If I had a MBM, black, or white I'd paint it. All other colors I'd leave CF.

The way I see it, I can leave it carbon for now and if I want to paint it later, I can. If I paint it now and want it carbon later, oops.....
