alright, so when i buy new handles, how hard are they to install? i also might need the lock assembly. is this something i can do in an hour or two or should i just hire somebody to do it for me?

Lock assy? You mean what the key goes in and makes it unlock correct? NOPE, cant get it here unless you want a NEW/Different key for that door. Or you can change all keys and locks too.
Door handle. Takes about 20 mins I think for both. 2 nuts and 2 linkages each handle. You have to swap the lock though which is just held in by a clip.

if you have never taken lock linkage off before just besure
to be easy with the clips, you take a small flathead screwdriver or
a pick and you gently push on the tab to release the clip allowing
it to swing away so you can take the rods off the handle.

brandon,
its really easy to swap out the door handle. follow the instructions above. the lock is held in by a retaining ring... pop it of and then swap your parts on to the new handle. if you get a new lock cylinder take it to a locksmith and they can set the pins to match your current key. i think the lock cylinder was like $50 buck or so.
