After a thorough sanding and cleaning, I spot-treated rusted areas with POR-15, followed with PPG DP90LF epoxy primer, then hit it with a couple coats of PPG AU base coat, followed by PPG high solids urethane clear.

We used POR for the end plates of a heat exchanger and were sorely dissapointed. It rusted through the POR. Not happy.

I'm not expecting miracles from the POR. I prepped it pretty darn well. The firewall was nearly rust-free. Other parts of the car? Well, not so much. Still, for a '66, it's pretty damn solid.

neat! my tr3's pretty good, for a 58, if i ever redo i, it'll need rockers and floors
