In a peer reviewed study, nine healthy medical students were evaluated for adrenal gland function after consuming 3 ordinary cups (300 ml) of coffee.

Each 100 ml cup contained 75 mg of caffeine.

During this "coffee break," adrenalin increased by 80%.

The rush from this "upper" was followed by a fall in the second control period from 9.1 to 7.2 ng/min.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RESULTS SHOWED: The rise in adrenalin excreted in the urine after consuming a moderate amount of coffee is similar to the rise that occurs after experiencing highly charged industrial or office stress situations.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we consume stimulants, we feel temporarily energetic. Often, we feel euphoric. Many people pay a price for this "high." Those who drink "moderate" amounts of coffee risk exhausting the adrenal glands and weakening the immune system. We can rebuild the body with nutritionally dense foods, exercise and supplemental nutrients.
