Okay, BitTorrent...it's the future of P2P (that's peer to peer for the rest of you). So you're friend sends you a link to a Torrent file. You click the link and BitTorrent opens up, finding many sources (people) to get the file from. Simultaneously, you are uploading the portion you have already received. The program allows you to receive files faster the more you upload.



I got steady 100+ k/s dld The Matrix: Reloaded. The major flaw with the system is what it's based on: using the Internet to find the Torrent file. The Torrent file gathers sources for you to download from.



Anyways, that might not all be 100% correct, but you can check the site if you want...

Emule is GREAT at finding high quality movies.

It's a tad bit slow but most files are great quality.
