Rap. Hasn't been the same since 2pac and Big left. Now it's all ****. No-one talks about homies and ho's anymore. It's all about who got more guns, rims, and whatever the **** a bling bling is... Worse than opera. Then there's Eminem... Style is unique, but he can't stop bitchin and wantin to cut people up, and talkin about being misunderstood. He's as bad as Rage Against the Machine. And what's with these KIDS rapping like they know what the **** life is about... Whatever. I'll be listening to Neil Diamond while the thugs rob liquor stores..

Rap is one of the single most idiotic things I've heard in my life. Very little of it's done well. Any moron, and many do, can go on and on about hating everyone, being better then everyone else and what not.

I prefer real music by people with real talent. Dave Matthews, Lynard Skynard, Jethro Tull for the harder side of rock. Don't care for most metal and 99% of what I do listen to no one here would have ever heard of

Rap is funny...they produce one song, sell some singles, and then the rest of their music career is singing about selling that song.

Well I don't think all rap is crap. I like rap and just like listening to the old stuff because it makes me feel nostalgic I guess. I like to listen to dance or electonic stuff when I am driving. But I listen to new stuff all the time, its all good.

OK, this is going to date me, but you put Radar Love by Golden Earing on and tell me your foot doesn't push a little harder on the gas pedal! Also, Johnny 99 by Springsteen.

As to rap, its not my music, but it does have some poetry to it, its to bad none of them know how to play a musicial instruments(but that takes years of practice!)

Its not driving music, but I've seen Pink Floyd live three times, and thats just about as close to heaven on earth as you can get.

I'm not black, and I don't want to be a gangsta or rapper, but the Blues, now thats music the black race can be proud of inventing.

Nah there is some good stuff out there, but I tend to think it's pretty few and far between ... of course I don't listen to it enough so there you go.



I think my whole issue with music these days is that it's so blasted repetative or whiny sounding. KILL THE DRUM MACHINE AND STOP SINGING THROUGH YOUR NOSE!

Oddly enough I'm really selective on what classic rock I like, most guys seem to go all out on it (especially computer programmers). Even more weird is that I've liked more of it as I've gotten older. Used to hate Pink Floyd, these days I can listen to most anything they do.
