yea well if xm's chairman taking over is any indication. In theory xm is the heavier hitter.

How is that even allowed? I thought if together they control too high of a percentage of the market, the merger is not allowed (then becomes a monopoly). So who's the competition?

Supposedly, the competition is much broader than just satellite radio. They are going to try to assert that they face competition from everything from cable tv to ipods.
