It's a realistic swap, the person who posted the question is obviously clueless about it though.

You talk too much ****, base your comment's on fact, rather then opinion. If your reffering to the SP Engineering Supra 7, it has a "huge ugly *** hood" because of those two GIANT HKS slug's.

 

SNAIL DAMMIT WE CALL THEM SNAILSSSS AHHHHHHHHH. but seriously the reason everyone who doesn't know anything like this idea is because everyone deep down knows that the rx7 is the most beautiful Japanese car ever....imo. and lets face it there arn't too many street rotaries throwing out 1000HP. so the simple minded go (1000HP + most beautiful and very light car = coolest thing ever). and i don't know about you guys, but i wouldn't mind a 800-1000HP 7.....would you?



and just to verify....what kinda power do these 3 rotors put out? i keep hearing about them, but i never see any #'s.

 

I'd more then agree with you that the FD is the most gorgeous Japanese car EVER. I was going to edit my other post and say that, the 2jzgte swap, involve's doing everything a 20b swap would. Except with the 20b, you can keep the FD transmission.



When this topic come's up, as it has time and time again, on forum's, and between car guy's, the issue of weight get's thrown around. So weigh the benefit's and downfall's of the swap.



The 2jz will add some weight - Downfall

The 2jz will add some reliability - Strength

The 2jz can be worked on by a competent mechanic - Strength

The 2jz will have more HP/TQ potential - Strength



I love the rotary, alway's have, alway's will; but would this swap be cool? **** yes.
