Coming home from a friend's house i was going down a back road right before you get on the main road to my town. It's sort of an S curve but a bit stretched out. Anyways i was going to turn right and its a pretty wide turn so i was still going above 20 and a sand truck was coming the other lane and it turned sharply cutting off part of my lane so i had to turn a lot sharper than i normally do. I was in my Accord and as i turned my rear tires lost traction, I countersteered but turned way too much and my front snapped back to the left and into the path of a suburban. We both tried swerving but my car had already lost traction and was just sliding and my front fender and bumper smashed into the suburbans wheel and part of the door. I got a ticket for being "left of center".

I'm okay and so was the lady but i'm still really mad because I dont get in wrecks and i dont get tickets either. I couldve prevented it so easily if i hadnt let off the gas and if i hadnt coutnersteered so much but i panicked. I'm mad at myself so much for those reasons and because my Honda is even more of a piece of crap than i thought. I still have no clue how my rears broke loose because my fronts always lose traction first. I tried losing my rears in my neighborhood for 15 minutes after the wreck but couldnt do it.

All in all i'm glad i'm still in one piece and noone is hurt but i'm not dropping another dime into my Supra but saving up for a Turbo II and setting it up for autox. I don't care if it eats up all my money, i want to learn how to drive so this never happens again.

lots of things could have been done but werent.. that doesn;t matter.. what matters is that you are okay.. and let this experience push you to improve your skill, control, and judgement behind the wheel

Glad your ok. Thats how my friend messed up front end. He over-corrected and caught a curb really bad.

It's real life experience that teaches you the most.

Don't be mad, just remember.

As long as your Ok, take it as a learning experience.

Don't make the same mistake twice.

Yeah i'm not as mad i was. I just had a long talk with a good friend and realized a lot more important things. I take so much crap for granted and i didn't realize how lucky i really am and have been. And i'm happy the things that i did still prevented the wreck from being even worse than it couldve been.
