I have been having a hell of a time with kazaa on this new computer. Maybe it has something to do with windows xp...I dunno? It kept freezing up the computer every few moments. As soon as i'd shut down kazaa the freezing would stop. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing worked and since i'm a music downloading junky I had to find a way. So I installed kazaa light and it works like a champ! Not quite as fancy as the full version but it gets the job done. Whats everyone else using?
The "Auto Search" function is probably what's taxing your CPU so much. It's right above the search field. It will continue to look for sources if it's checked for whatever amount of time you set it to. I'm not sure what it is by default, but it definitely hogs CPU cycles if it's set for more than a minute or so.

Just a suggestion.

yea did u know that napster sued the music industry for using false versions of napster for people to download and when people downloaded from them they got some company to give them the info behind their names....and the gov. said that napster and kazaa were pirating music lololol when they turned around and did the same thing!

I believe you only run the risk of getting in trouble if share your files. Sounds like you can download all you want so long as you turn your sharing off.

I used to be a IMESH guy.

That focking program caused me so many headaches...the searching and layout was really nice, but the spyware, and all the gay lag is caused.

I switched to kazaalite and its much better.
