If you WANTED a set of drums would you buy mine?

6 piece Export Series Select.

Comes with Pearl hardware.

Cymbals consist of:

Zildjian ZXT 14" Hi-hats.

Zildjian ZXT 20" Rock ride.

Zildjian ZXT 16" Rock crash.

Zildjian "K" 18" Custom fast crash.

Zildjian "K" 12" Custom rock crash.

Sabian AAX 18" China splash.

Tama Iron Cobra Double Bass Pedal

Tama drummers throne.

It is well over 5000 worth of stuff, and I am wanting 3k out of the sale. Would you pay that much for them? They are in mint condition, minus the heads being a little worn. I do play VERY hard on them, but not like I want to destroy them.

Tell me what ya think.

worth 5k? well, i havent bought a set in a long time

back when i bought my pearl export select 6 peice, i got it for 950 +tax brand new,

zlidjans do get pricey, and even after hardware, but i honestly cant imagine all of it costing you around 5k, i could see that being possible with a measters select series.

have drums really gone up that much in value over a 3 year period?

either way man, best luck with the sale.

they have actually gone down. i have had this set for 3 years now.

the "percussion" part of the set actually cost around 950-1000.

gotta figure in:

hardware. I have 5 pieces of hardware, that is around 550 bucks.

cymbals was the most expensive thing. the zxt package costed me 400 bucks, which I regret, those cymbals are rather horrible compared to the zildjian K line or A line. that damned Zildjian K Rock crash costed me 300 bucks! the china splash was 225. this does not include the little splash cymbal. that little ****** was 125 bucks.

HELL, my drum sticks cost me 40 bucks. LOL

thanks matt, i have been trying to get rid of them, i got better things to get right now.

Some pics for your enjoyment. If I had a way to record me playing, I would throw some of that **** up here too.

And Matt, my set actually came as a 5 piece, and I bought the extra floor tom. The floor tom was the WRONG size, the idiots at the guitar joint ordered the wrong size. I did not care, it sounded mint, and kept it.

yeah, i have thought of that also. you could get a decent tama rockstar now for around 800 bucks, but that is not including all hardware, and cymbals i have bought over the years.

i may be better off just "parting" it out. kind of like a car. sell everything separetely. hmmm.

thanks.
