For the 3rd weekend in a row, im working on a Saturday. Ive been dying to have one of those relaxing, get-out-of-bed-at-9:00am kind of Saturdays. This week has been super busy too, so im going to need a huge cup of coffee tommorrow. I think i should get a job as a matress tester, or something that allows me to sleep in!

Seppuku 02-03-2006 12:51 PM

What do you do? I used to have to work almost every saturday sucked cuase sunday we were closed anyway but couldnt go do much becuase of having to be back for work early monday. Half the time i just showed up hung over or still drunk. But i shouldnt have had to!

j9fd3s 02-03-2006 12:53 PM

join the club! havent had a 2 day weekend since september, i'm ready to snap

Baldy 02-03-2006 01:04 PM

I'm grateful for an 8-5, m-f job. But I do have school one saturday a month, 9-noon.

94touring 02-03-2006 01:21 PM

I work every Saturday AND Sunday. However I don't work Monday through Friday, lol.

Seppuku 02-03-2006 01:32 PM

LOL. Right now im doing IT consulting and I get stuck doing large projects on weekends. It sucks. And I dont get any extra days off during the week.

TYSON 02-03-2006 07:18 PM

I don't mind doing a little work on Saturday occasionally, as long as it's arranged ahead of time. It's usually the only time you can work on machinery in factories. I was in Labbatt's a couple weeks ago on a Saturday, automotive factories usually.

Full time student and a full time job. But I'm happy now, so I can't complain.

Saturday's are not too bad for us. Have the typical 48-50 hour work week. 2 12 hour days, and rest are 8 hours. But sometimes you have to come in on your day off. We are always closed on sunday's, which is really nice to have. Can't sell cars on sunday's, silly blue law.

i hear ya, i'm at school for 6hrs every week day and i work 7pm-7am saturday and sunday nights. GOOD TIMES!

Cheers! 02-06-2006 10:39 AM

I get 1.5X pay for any hour after 42.5 hours I put in. Then If i work sunday I get 2X pay. So I don't mind doing overtime. But it does get tiring. I've been doing it since last september.

Yeah, I work about 42 hours a week and goto school 12 hours a week.. After homework and commuting time that's like 90 hrs/wk dedicated to my school and work life. Minus 7 hrs/night sleep time, on average.. I spend 76% of my time doing school and work. That's about 4 hrs and 15 mins per day I have for other stuff.. like showering, laundry, other chores.. WTF. Anyway, I'm happy. Probably because I can surf NP all day at work. lol

93 R1 02-10-2006 12:17 PM

Weekends are for fun. Work is not fun.

Sinful7 02-10-2006 12:51 PM

The concept of "the weekend" was a product of the American labor movement.

div 02-10-2006 12:56 PM

weekends... oh yeah, those are those things that keep lowering my hourly pay. Being on salary sucks.

sweet7 02-10-2006 04:19 PM

They are trying to make me sit at the staff duty desk tomorrow for 24hrs. I told them to suck my ******* balls and count me AWOL, cause im not gonna be there.

nismo convert 02-10-2006 08:33 PM

ITS MY FRIDAY OFF AND I AM STUCK IN THE OFFICE WORKING OT!

Kim 02-17-2006 07:10 AM

I work monday-friday on the evening shift, then 2x12 hours in the weekend.

After a full hard week of slandering around hitting on my hot chick-colleagues, it is nice with the next week off. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
