Baldy,

as said earlier a listing of expenses is very eye-opening sometimes and a budget is the result of the best intentions, but many of us cannot be disciplined for 30 days, know what i mean? For example, I'll be watching my spending carefully, trying not to use my credit cards, then all of a sudden I feel really down and depressed ONE DAY and I go to the mall and buy food, 2 cd's, and a dvd movie...ack!! I guess just try your best to be aware as you are spending what it is you are buying and how important it is. eating out often will kill you. frequent entertainment will kill you (my personal weakness, i get bored). ebay will kill you (bidding can get sort of addicting, eh?). also remember to budget MONTHLY for annual or semi-annual expenses (car insurance, registration renewal, homeowners dues, etc.) stay in contact with your friends. i think that's important. my best friends and i will lend each other money without question (emphasis on best friends). also, these friends will be there to talk to in the same manner as the great folks on this forum.

dude, i'll lend ya a few bucks in the crunch and you WILL pay me back by helping me work on my car! LOL! (if i get a garage, that is) sounds like fun eh?

Baldy, You need to get some help with BASIC budgeting. Calll the local office for Consumer Credit Counseling. They are an established non-profit organization. They will look at you expenses and income and help you plan a budget.
Be very careful when using these "credit counseling companies". They are now considering CCS as the equivelent of a chapter 13 bankruptcy when you are going to purchase and/or refinance a house/property. I would imagine it's viewed the same by auto or any other type of lender.
